Submissions
Now accepting OPEN SUBMISSIONS for CHILDREN'S BOOKS, POETRY, MEMOIRS (dramatic books of overcoming hardships), CHRISTIAN NONFICTION AND CHRISTIAN FICTION.
All submissions must adhere to our statement of faith.
Submission and Publishing Process
Submit 1-3 chapters of your manuscript for review (If poetry, submit 3 poems). For Children's books under 500 words send the entire story. Include a brief (one paragraph summary of what your book is about).
Please submit using Google Docs. If your manuscript chapters are in Microsoft Word format, simply copy and paste 3 chapters into a Google doc.
After submission, if your manuscript is accepted by Southern Women Publishing you will receive an invitation for a 20 minute consultation call and invited to submit your full manuscript to be reviewed for placement on the Gold Track, Silver Track, or Pearl Track.

Southern Women Publishing uses two publishing models, The Hybrid Model and/or The Service Model. (See Below).
The Hybrid Model
$300 plus a $375.00 Marketing Investment
Total $675
Your $375 investment goes 100% into marketing your book w/ ads, promotions etc.
50/50 Net Royalty Split
You will receive royalties based on the sales of your book at a 50/50 Split with Southern Women Publishing /minus any costs like printing and monthly ads.
The Service Model
One time payment $1200-1800
(payment range depends on the size and genre of the book.)
Keep 100% of your royalties

Gold Track
Ready for Publication
Your entire manuscript has been read and Southern Women Publishing has determined you are ready to publish. Your book only needs very light editing and proofreading.
You will be invited to the Hybrid Package or the Service Package and/or to choose between both- based on the marketability of your book.
Silver Track
Copyediting
Your entire manuscript has been read and Southern Women Publishing has determined your manuscript needs significant editing before publishing.
Editing rate of $225 per 5000 words .
After editing, you will be invited to the Hybrid Package or the Service Package and/or to choose between both- based on the marketability of your book.
Pearl Track
Book Development
Your entire manuscript has been read and Southern Women Publishing has determined your manuscript is still in the stages of development. It needs to be outlined and have plot points added as well as significant gaps in the story filled in.
You will receive key instructions on where you need to add in rewrites and editorial direction page by page for making your story ready for publication.
Comes with two 1 hour coaching sessions with LaMonique Mac in addition to developmental instructions.
Book development rate of $325 per 5000 words.
Next it will be determined if your book will move to the Silver Track or straight to the Gold Track for publication. (Writers starting with the Pearl Track will have the Silver Track discounted to $175 per 5000 words.)
